You see us
Standing side by side
A giant and a little mouse
Who’d have thunk
Who’d have thought
That the giant is jumping the hoops
That the mouse sets up?
For I don’t like violence
But I know my hand will be forced
The mouse will squeak out a command
And I will comply
Of course
But you don’t know that
And so all eyes are on me
The mouse is no threat
And you dismiss it
All too easily
A murmur will leave the mouse’s lips
And before you realize
It was a command for your immediate termination
You’ll know no more
You’ll never regret not paying attention
To the mouse
